Gardai have put out an appeal for witnesses after a fatal road traffic collision which occurred earlier this morning.
At roughly 10.15am a crash between a car and a bus resulted in the death of a man in his 50’s.
The motorist was seriously injured and died following his transferral to hospital.
A passenger in the car escaped unharmed while the driver of the bus has minor injuries.
The accident occurred on the Ballinasloe to Athlone road and Gardai are now appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact the Roscommon Garda Station.
