Vladislav Bodrous was the man that made the difference when the final whistle blew with two goals in the minor (A) final between Roscrea and Moycarkery- Borris played in Templemore on Saturday 7th of October at 3pm. All that attended the final were not disappointed . In perfect conditions it was a great display by Roscrea, they showed great spirit, heart and the will to win for each other it was plain to see. With the game in the balance Roscrea went in 1-7 to 8 points with a few left behind them.

Moycarkey came out and hit Roscrea hard but these young men stood their ground and really showed us what they are made of, when Daniel Ryan scored the third goal there was a great sense of relief as this was the score that made it clear where the title was going. It also has to be mentioned that Moycarkey would have had two goals only for the great goalkeeping by Graham Fahey.

When the referee John mc Cormack blew the final whistle there were scenes of joy and happiness. The famine was finally at an end and Roscrea were back, North and County Champions 2017.

To all that have helped Roscrea get back to the top, congratulations and Roscrea are proud of the players and management.
